How do you apply biophilic design in your works?
We work hand in hand with nature in our architectural design. We do not impose the work on the site; we apply precise technical studies (such as sun path, topography, and local climate) to design spaces that adapt to their surroundings. We use resources such as cross ventilation and correct spatial orientation as tools for the real well-being of those who inhabit the house.
In addition, we implement natural materials and timeless ones that endure in both quality and style, achieving harmonious spaces that feel, truly, like a refuge.
Do you manage CFIA and municipal permits?
Yes. We manage your project before the CFIA from start to finish, processing the municipal construction permit through the APC and delivering the duly stamped plans.
We understand that requirements vary significantly depending on the canton and the nature of the work. Therefore, we work directly with you to identify and comply with the specific regulations your project requires to advance clearly and effectively.
If you are looking for a superior level of accompaniment, we assume the Project Management. In this role, we act as your expert representative (owner's agent), leading efforts and coordinating all involved parties to ensure that construction is executed efficiently and without setbacks.
I reside outside of Costa Rica, can you manage my project remotely?
Definitely. Building remotely requires a superior level of trust and communication, so we use digital tools to maintain fluid communication, sending clear progress reports and holding periodic meetings so you can make informed decisions, regardless of your time zone.
Furthermore, as experts in local regulations, we ensure that your investment strictly complies with all Costa Rican laws and CFIA standards, eliminating bureaucratic uncertainty so that the project progresses successfully even if you are far away.
At what moment is it ideal to contact the studio?
We are ready to listen to you at any stage. However, to formally start the design, the ideal scenario is to have the defined land (site).
If you have the project in mind but have not yet purchased the property, we can provide our technical advice. We help you identify if the lot you are interested in has the correct characteristics and the potential to materialize your objectives, before you make the purchase decision.
What should I bring to the first session?
For this session to set solid foundations and for us to define a clear strategy, we suggest bringing the technical information of the land (plans/location) and your visual design references. It is also important to be clear about your list of functional priorities according to the type of project: whether it is family dynamics and routines for a residence, or operational requirements and user flow for a commercial space.
Finally, it is indispensable to discuss your target budget. By combining the technical, functional, and financial parts, we will be able to create an honest and executable proposal.
